Ball sports

Basketball, handball, volleyball or indoor football – each of these sports demand specific properties from the floor and particularly the flooring surface. The surface should not be too sticky, at the same time as being not to slippery, since both these elements help reduce the risk of injuries to players etc. In addition, the substructure should be able to absorb the shocks of jumps and falls while providing optimum support for the players’ movements.

Ball bounce is of course another important issue (see glossary). Whatever type of sport is to be played upon the sports floor, the necessary requirements it must meet  are defined in DIN V 18032-2. DLW’s Linotop sports flooring system when combined with linoleum surfaces such as Linodur, Linovation and Linopro comply with the current DIN standard.

During sporting activity field markings must be easily recognizable. DLW sport linoleum is available in many different colours and designs which give you the opportunity to create a distinctive appearance, so that everybody can play his or her favourite ball sport in the hall to his or her satisfaction.
