When humans stay indoors, their health and sense of well-being is very significantly determined by the building’s climate, as well as by impurities in the air that may be emitted by construction materials. Germany’s Committee for Health-related Evaluation of Building Products (AgBB) tests such materials for these so-called volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a standardized, high-quality evaluation model that is also easily understood by laypeople.
The renowned testing institute of TFI Aachen recently examined DLW Linodur Sport and DLW Linovation Sport according to the AgBB evaluation model of 2008. The testing period consists of 28 days, during which emissions gradually dissipate. I both cases, however, testing was terminated after 7 days, due to the fact that emissions had already dropped well below prescriptive limits. Once again, the excellent quality of DLW sport linoleums has been confirmed!
